FSC®
FSC® is an independent non-governmental, non – profit organization established to promote the responsible management of the world’s forests . We strongly believe in sustainable business. Following the FSC principles is always our goal.
Houtplex BV / Wood United wants to ensure that coming generations can benefit from well-managed forests all over the world. For this reason, our products have the FSC label to ensure that the products are extracted from forests from responsibly harvested and confirmed sources.
PEFC
PEFC uses criteria, the Sustainability Benchmark, that were drawn up by governments in various intergovernmental processes that followed the “Earth Summit” in Rio de Janeiro in 1992. These processes still take place per region: Europe has Forest Europe, Ministerial Conference on the Protection of Forests in Europe, in tropical countries there is the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO) and specifically for Africa the African Timber Organization (ATO) that have drawn up the criteria for sustainable forest management in their specific region.

NATURE’S BARCODE
Nature’s Barcode™ uses a proven process for collecting data, assessing risk, implementing mitigation measures, monitoring progress, and reporting results.
The process is based on two key principles: Supply chain transparency and Product traceability. This is essential to demonstrate compliance with regulations such as the EU Deforestation Regulation. It also gives you the ability to make social, environmental, GHG or climate-related claims about your products and supply chain with 100% confidence.
Indonesian Legal Wood
In order to support the implementation of the Timber Legality Verification System (SVLK) as a whole, where the SVLK is designed starting from guaranteeing the acquisition of raw materials to marketing on one side and the need for an information center in order to implement the other side of the SVLK; It is necessary to develop an organization that will function as a licensing information unit as well as an information center for timber legality verification.
